Heat Process Technique
In this procedure, lye and water are combined with oils and other substances. Although lye is necessary for this process, you have control over how much and what kind of oils you use. To hasten the saponification process, you must additionally heat the soap mixture on the stove or in a slow cooker.
The fundamental steps in this method are as follows:
→ Next combine the lye and water in a sturdy glass or plastic container after weighing the ingredients on a digital scale.
→ Avoid inhaling the fumes and contacting your skin with the lye solution. Put on gloves, long sleeves, safety glasses, and other protective gear.
→Use a digital scale to measure out your oils, then melt them in a slow cooker or a large pot over low heat.
→ Use an immersion blender or a silicone spatula to thoroughly combine the oils and lye solution.
→ After the soap mixture reaches the consistency of thick pudding, it should have been cooked on low heat for one to two hours, stirring occasionally.
→ Stir in your flavourings, colourants, and any ingredients.
→ Place silicone moulds with the soap mixture inside, and allow the soap to cure for at least 24 hours.
→ The soap bars should be taken out of the mould and allowed to cure for 4 to 6 weeks before using.
